Background:
I first watched The Beauty and the Beast when I was four or five years old, and the first time I saw the Beast, he scared me. But halfway through the movie, I was completely in love with him. During the next three-four years, I watched the movie as often as I could, meaning at least once a week, often a couple times a day. And even though I was quite young, I adored the Beast, the way his feelings for Belle grew stronger and stronger, and the way he transformed into a self-sacrifising loving being. To this day The Beauty and the Beast has a special place in my heart, and it's my all-time favourite Disney movie. After 12 years I finally got the movie on DVD, and to this day I watch the movie as often as I can. Not as often as before, but at least 2-3 times a month, and I still love the Beast :-)
Needless to say, I was extremely happy when Sissi (URL no longer in use, contact me if you want it updated on this site!) let me adopt this fanlisting! I was positively jumping with happiness, and I promise to take very good care of it :-D
Title:
"No Prince Charming" was the first title I came up with, and it stuck. I think it describes the Beast perfectly. It's actually a phrase from the song "Something There":
[Belle:] New and a bit alarming
Who'd have ever thought that this could be?
True that he's no Prince Charming
But there's something in him that I simply didn't see
Layout / Site:
I created the layout using some of my own screen captures (which you can find on this site). I like this layout :-) I used a font called Efrom Light for the title, 04b_24 for the buttons, and Tahoma and Arial for the text and headings.
I use the amazing script Enthusiast3 which powers the members list, as well my entire collective. For the screen captures gallery, I use Captivate. It's lovely :-)
